We are so proud to welcome Drew and Courtney Bryan as our new Dining Out For Life partners. The veterans of the Memphis restaurant industry opened Blue Honey Bistro in Germantown in 2017 with a vision rooted in bringing community together with good food and an intimate dining experience. Blue Honey Bistro has excelled in creating a welcoming environment that makes first-time guests feel like a part of the family.
Despite the challenging circumstances, Blue Honey Bistro remains committed to serving the Memphis community and quickly pivoted operations to offer curbside take out. In addition to their full dinner menu, bar menu, and unique wine offerings, they have added large format family-style meals. They also rolled out a “Groceries and Bulk Items” menu offering a variety of produce, proteins, pantry items, and prepared foods all at reasonable prices. “We want to be mindful of family needs, and our elderly and immune-suppressed community who may not be able to go into grocery stores right now. It’s important to make the things folks need available, but our top priority is keeping people safe,” says Drew.
By shifting their menu offerings to take out and adding groceries, Drew and Courtney have been able to keep staff on payroll and have made a commitment to their employees' job security. “Right now, our priority is not profit; we are too busy focusing on sustaining our staff and serving our community however we can. It’s been inspiring to witness our community come together to support small businesses and each other. I hope that moving forward this shift becomes the norm; we will remain committed and focused on taking care of each other when this is all over.”
